The project aims to redesign a fan-attachable air purifier that already exists. The main goal is to fix the installation issue the users are experiencing with the current product and to enhance its performance so that it can filter the air more effectively. The intended market for this product is college students who live in residence halls or apartments. The air purifier is made to fit the needs of spaces up to 150 square feet in size.
03 · Develop
Ideation and Initial Concepts
I followed a problem, ideation and conceptualization process, exploring how the purifier could latch onto an existing fan and use the fan’s own oscillation to move air through the filter.
04 · Deliver
Final Concept
The final concept makes the model harder to manufacture, but the design suits a student’s room and the brief, and consists of 7 parts in total.
